ARHG ancillary provider accreditation
ARHG’s ancillary provider accreditation service provides funds with a list of ancillary providers that meet a set of agreed provider accreditation standards.
By subscribing to the database, funds ensure benefits are paid to providers in line with private health benefit rules.
The database simplifies the provider accreditation process for subscribed funds.

Accreditation of re-introduced natural therapies
On 1 July, legislation will come into effect that allows seven natural therapies to be eligible for private health insurance benefits.
These therapies include Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, Shiatsu, Naturopathy, Western Herbal Medicine, and the Alexander Technique.
ARHG will introduce all seven natural therapies to our Ancillary Provider Accreditation Service.
The modalities will be introduced to ARHG’s list of accredited providers following a staged approach, to allow ARHG, health funds, and electronic claiming providers to make the necessary administrative and technical changes. We are currently engaging with health funds to determine the order and timeframe in which we implement each modality.
We are also meeting with the Associations that cover the new modalities to develop accreditation criteria for both providers and Associations.
While the timeframe for implementation is dependent on a number of factors, we are working to ensure a list of accredited providers is available as soon as possible for health funds that choose to add the new modalities to their products.
